No prior experience is required, just a real interest in learning the craft and the commitment to show up, practice, and grow. This training is designed to meet you where you are, whether you’re brand new to PMU or transitioning from another beauty career. We start with strong fundamentals and build step by step, so nothing feels rushed or overwhelming. If you’re ready to invest in yourself and take this seriously as a skill and a business, you’ll feel supported from day one.
To work on a live brow model in class, students will need to apply for a temporary tattoo permit and complete an online Bloodborne Pathogens certification. These steps are standard within the industry and ensure a safe, compliant learning environment for both students and models. Guidance for completing both requirements will be provided during enrollment, so you’re not left figuring it out on your own.
When and where is the training?
Training takes place at my permanent makeup studio in Wilmington, North Carolina. The space features multiple treatment rooms and a dedicated classroom designed for immersive, hands-on learning. Classes run Friday through Sunday from 9:00 AM–4:00 PM, allowing plenty of time for theory, demos, and live practice in a high-end environment you’ll genuinely enjoy being in.

Downtown Wilmington offers a great mix of boutique hotels and local inns, all close to coffee shops, restaurants, and easy access to the studio.
Once students have completed their at-home study and in-person training, they will be awarded a professional certification, officially recognizing your skills and readiness to perform powder brows with confidence. As a bonus, you’ll have 30 days to bring in a live brow model and work under my direct supervision, giving you the chance to refine your technique and feel fully prepared for real-world clients. This ensures your certification represents both your skill and your hands-on experience, not just a piece of paper.
Your kit comes fully equipped with everything you need to get started, including a name-brand PMU machine, disposable needle cartridges, practice latex, brow pigments, pigment cups, a complete brow grooming kit and more. These supplies are carefully chosen to cover your first 20 clients, giving you the confidence to start practicing and building your portfolio right away. This is more than just a kit- it’s your toolkit for launching your PMU journey with professional-grade equipment from day one!
